I had a great experience at the pre-conference, I was able to meet and get to know youth from all around the world. Along with Kirsten, TIG's Strategic Partnerships Coordinator, and Laura, TIG Omline Community Manager and Editor, I presented on using Web 2.0 tools to report on the conference. My section was about how to respectfully report on HIV and AIDS. I believe our session went very well.
In addition, I was able to attend a session called HIV 101 where we went over the basics of HIV and AIDS for those of us who are new to the issue. This session, along with all of the other sessions during the pre-conference, was very informative.
I recommend the youth pre-conference to all youth who are planning to attend the next International AIDS conference in Vienna, it really helps youth build skills and gain knowledge and prepares them for the main conference.
