This project is special because the international volunteers will be working with children who are handicapped. So volunteers have of show much availability and adaptively.
These physically handicapped children are in Centre de handicappe Etoug-Ebe communities. They are not accepted by the society and are often passed for burden or curse for their families. The goal of a local organisation is to help the handicapped children to integrate in the society by sending them to school and giving them professional training according to their qualifications. But the children don't get enough care during the summer holidays. Their health is also often not good. It is important to take actions for the good education and training of those children in order to secure the best future for them. Everybody who cares for these children and is devoted to their needs is welcome to join this project.
The international group of volunteers will be involved in guiding the children in different activities and workshops like drawing, games, talk, tales and songs, dance and music. The volunteers can present typical cultural aspects of their country as songs, dance, etc. They can also take part in community activities, such as sensitizing the local population about hygiene and environmental protection.
