| We run a vocational training centre in Mambanda-a rural area to train underprivileged children in computing and sewing. The centre is to train out-of-school youths in basic skills so that they can be self-employed rather than become drug addict and pick pockets on the streets. The skills gained will undoubtedly enhance their employment opportunities as young people. The computer centre owned by CAPEC is located at Mambanda village in Meme Division. Volunteers shall be involved in educating and training underprivileged youths and local people on how to use computer. Visits many secondary schools and training seminars shall be organised where the people shall learn basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. The goal of this is to show them how computer and internet use if useful for our world today and how these skills could be useful in the job field and information acquisition |
